It’s our pleasure to welcome newcomers of families and students in the school of Anglophone East District, with the collaboration of our organization “The Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area”, we would like to inform you that we have services that connects our community, home, and school.
MAGMA’s mission is to enrich and enhance the well being of our community by fostering and nurturing respect, understanding, acceptance of and assisting people from all heritages.
To have access to our services, parents need to set an appointment with our Intake Settlement Counsellor and register with us; either via email info@magma-amgm.org or call or by phone 506-857-9430. You will be informed for the procedure and documents needed for the registration.
After the registration, you need to sign the Consent to Release form, Youth program Registration, Media Consent form and Respectful & Safe Space Policy. We can provide the documents after the registration. Parents may submit to your school or assigned settlement worker in school (SWIS) from Magma. The SWIS will start the following services:
o Information sessions about a variety of topics
o Support in communication between school and home
o Weekend, summer, and school holiday activities
o Community supports (e.g., homework help or tutoring)
