We were excited to finish off last week in a full school assembly with our guest speaker, Mark Black. Mark talked with the Huskies for the afternoon on the theme of Do Tough Stuff. His story was moving and impactful, and the Huskies were an excellent audience.
Round 2 of Impact Time began last Friday and groups will resume this coming Friday. The Huskies enjoyed their new groups and I hope they shared their experience with you.
Tomorrow we will have the Maritime Centre for African Dance presenting three 45min Kwanzaa workshops. The presentations will be held in the cafeteria at 9am (Grade 8), 10am (Grade 7), and 11am (Grade 6).
We will be welcoming February this week. Our Black African Community Impact Time group will be planning and facilitating Black History Month for the Huskies. We will also celebrate Pink Shirt Day on February 22nd and more information will be shared as the month progresses.
