This message contains dates with some revisions for events that will be happening at Maplehurst this fall.
The Maplehurst Student Council is raising money for the Moncton Hospital over the months of September and October. They are currently planning a teacher Jello Battle. Students can vote for the teachers they want to see participate in this fun event. They can purchase 3 votes for $1 during the noon hour until the end of next week.
Please follow the Student Council’s Instagram. (@maplehurstmiddlesc) This will keep everyone updated about events, theme days and activities.
Here are a few upcoming dates to be aware of:
Picture Day Sept. 20
Our first Husky Dance Sept. 22 6:00 – 8:00 $5.00 cost at the door
Lock Down Drill Sept. 26 11:00 am
- The RCMP will support this drill and students will be aware that the drill is taking place
Meet the Teacher Evening Sept. 29 6:00 – 7:30
- PSSC Election information will be shared in a separate message. Elections will take place after Meet the Teacher at 7:30 in the cafeteria.
- Information concerning the format of Meet the Teachers will follow and this replaces the original date that was on a Saturday (we appreciate your feedback????).
Orange Shirt Day Sept. 30
Husky Homecoming October 13 5:00 – 7:30
- This will be a fun family event to welcome the community to Maplehurst
- More information will follow as the committee firm up their plans
Grade 7 Vaccination Clinic Nov. 2 TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and HPV
Grade 8 Vaccination Clinic Nov. 3 Second dose of HPV Vaccine

Staff are enjoying the energy and enthusiasm of the Huskies and feel we have had a very good start up.
