Dear Husky families,
Maplehurst staff are excited to welcome the Huskies back to school this week.
Here are a few reminders as you get ready to send your child off to school for their orientation day:
- Supervision on the playground starts at 7:45 so please drop off your Husky after that time to ensure their safety.
- The Crossing Guard positions on both Maplehurst and Twin Oaks have yet to be filled. Please remind your child to push the button to activate the crossing lights before entering the cross walk.
- The speed limit signs in the drop off zone must be adhered to and the RCMP will be present this week to support the traffic flow and speed limit.
- Huskies may exit your vehicle once in the drop off zone and walk on the sidewalk to get to the school/playground. You do not need to wait until your car gets to the front of the line to let them out.
- Please use caution when merging into the inner lane to exit the drop off zone.
- The parking lot is for staff and visitors only and cannot be used for dropping off students.
- Please remember, pack a lunch and water bottle. The cafeteria does not open until September 12thand it is warm in the building.
Tomorrow is the grade 8 orientation day and we can’t wait to see our returning Huskies and meet the new students to our community.
Thank you for your support as we begin a new school year,
Miss Nowlan
Principal
