Here are a few updates as we begin a full week of school at Maplehurst.

  • We want to congratulate Sandra Savard on her new position as Acting Principal of Birchmount School for the remainder of this school year.  We will miss Mrs. Savard in this role and wish her all the best at the new school.  I will inform our school community when her replacement is named. This is an acting position and we look forward to Mrs. Savard returning in the fall.
  • French Oral Proficiency Interviews are underway for the Huskies.  Currently, students in grade 6 and 7 are being interviewed and we will progress to grade 8 over the next few weeks.
  • Yearbook sales will continue until May 12th.  The link to order is on our school website.
  • Thank you to everyone who has been using the fundraising code, HUSKIES, when ordering pizza at Papa John’s.  We have raised $511.65 to date for our school events and playground account.
  • The Huskies will be selecting their next Impact Time choice this week.  We will begin the last round of Impact before the end of April.

The Home and School are hosting a presentation tonight in the cafeteria at 6:30.  Dr. Godbout-Beaulieu will be presenting on the topic: Parents, Don’t be Fooled! You’re still Important to your Teen.  We hope to see you there!
